Integrated Engineering is proud to release several MQB/MK7 2.0T engine internal components to our Volkswagen and Audi customers around the world. These internals are designed to hold the highest power levels and beyond  produced from the latest generation 2.0T EA888 GEN 3 engines. This release includes the internal parts of IE Spec Mahle Motorsport Pistons, IE H-beam and Tuscan I-beam Connecting Rods, Mahle Motorsport Rod Bearings, IE Valve Spring and Retainer Kits, IE Valve Guides, and ARP Head Studs. Also coming soon from Integrated Engineering will be GEN 3 Sport Blocks. We currently offer these popular assembled short blocks for 2.0T FSI and 2.0T TSI platforms. Pricing is expected to be roughly $4500 for the GEN 3 version and should be released in summer 2016.

  • Looks awesome. I am surprised the I-beam outperforms the H-beam?

    Also, with a full build, what is a safe rev limit? Would 8000 be feasible? Or is the factory ~7000 still the limit.

      The H-beams are also designed not to be TOO heavy - it's easy to make a rod strong by making it huge. Optimizing it on the other hand for size and weight takes far more engineering. 8000 RPM is achievable however at this point it becomes more of a matter of connecting rod bolts than the rod itself. We recommend upgrading the rod bolts to ARP 625+ alloy if you plan on exceeding 8500 RPM, or missing shifts :(

      We will be manufacturing an intake manifold for the MQB platform, however I do not have any progress or ETA at this time. Check back in often for updates as they become available.

  • Will you be offering a drop in rod for use with OEM pistons? I'd like to avoid the forged piston engine noise in my previous builds.

      We will not be doing a drop-in rod for the Gen 3 MQB engines. The factory piston is actually as weak if not weaker than the connecting rod, so upgrading the rod alone will not be sufficient for higher power output. If you want to escape the piston noise common with soe aftermarket forgings, I highly recommend the Mahle pistons. They are a much stronger alloy, although provide OE operation.
